Sydney Gaymers is a vibrant, welcoming community where LGBTIQ+ gamers and allies come together to celebrate the magic of gaming. We believe games aren’t just entertainment; they’re powerful tools for storytelling, connection, and creativity. Our mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces where people can meet, play, and grow, both online and in person. We value the diversity of our community, proudly supporting neurodiverse individuals and those who might otherwise feel isolated. Whether you're here for the competition, the friendships, or just the love of the game, Sydney Gaymers is your player two (and three, and four...).



What does Sydney Gaymers stand for?



At Sydney Gaymers, we recognise that video games are evolving rapidly. Increasingly, gaming is becoming just as important as traditional media for storytelling, fostering human connection, and advancing arts and culture.


Our primary goal, in light of this, is to create safe, welcoming spaces; both online and offline, where LGBTIQ+ people, and all those across the broader queer spectrum, can thrive as this medium grows. We build inclusivity through safe social environments, positive and respectful community interactions, and accessible online platforms where Gaymers can connect, collaborate, and celebrate one another.


At Sydney Gaymers, everyone should feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. We proudly value the neurodiversity of our community and work to nurture meaningful connections, particularly among those who may experience isolation. Our approach to supporting members is holistic: we aim to connect individuals with relevant services where needed, while also fostering peer support networks to strengthen community resilience.

The Admin Team



Sean (Sparky)



Always kind, always smiling. A fan of all games, especially the chaotic and hilarious ones. Big on Japanese culture, he naturally takes the lead and keeps the admin crew united and upbeat.




Cameron (Cam)



A creative soul who crafts anything with heart and magic. A Mardi Gras star and community connector, he’s always ready to support anything that brings joy and unity to our crew.



Manuel (Kiritsugu)



Our tournament organiser/maniac and survival horror aficionado. Obsessed with 2D fighters, JRPGs (FF7 forever!), and always hyped for dessert. If there’s coffee or gelato nearby, he’s already there.



Marco (Cramberry Juice)



Friendly, welcoming and loves onboarding newcomers. Between baking treats and playing games like Valorant or Silksong, he’s always ready to help others feel right at home.



For over a decade, Sydney Gaymers has stood as a vibrant and essential pillar for the LGBTIQ+ gaming community, fostering a space where passion and play intersect. As we celebrate more than 10 years of connection, we wish to extend our deepest gratitude to the past and current administrators whose tireless efforts have founded, sustained, and continuously evolved this community. Their unwavering love, time, and dedication have been the driving force behind every achievement, always striving to improve and adapt for the benefit of all members.
